As you’d expect, his team owner jumped on Twitter to congratulate his driver and his team as he promised there’s more to come.

We’re just getting started,” Pitbull wrote.

Ross Chastain worries Austin would hurt his friendship with Allmendinger

Towards the very end of the race, Ross Chastain spun around the race leader AJ Allmendinger and in many ways, snatched the race win from him. This was the reason that after the race, Chastain was worried that his friendship with Allmendinger would take a hit.

“I’ve cost AJ a win at Daytona in the Xfinity Series, and he was obviously a quarter-mile away from winning here. He has taught me a lot, and I’m sure that our friendship will hurt for this,” Chastain said.

“I feel like I had started to win some of his friendship back, and just being nice to each other when you see each other, it took a while.”

Regardless of the way it came, one needs to understand that this win for Trackhouse Racing was on the horizon for a while now. Their two drivers, Daniel Suarez and Ross Chastain had come close to winning but didn’t quite do it until Austin.

Yet Chastain did it, and Mr. Worldwide has another feather in his cap.
