Of all the women in NASCAR, one stands out with her dazzling resume. Danica Patrick is a motorsports icon, owning laurels like winning the 2008 Indy Japan 300 or claiming the 2013 Daytona 500 pole. However, the star is an inspiration to her fans in a multitude of other ways as well. Those include being a Sky Sports F1 commentator and the host of ‘Pretty Intense’ – a show focusing on fitness regimes.
Recently, the veteran racer made another addition to this list – a political speaker. And a NASCAR insider supports Patrick for her brand-new venture.

Danica Patrick garners appreciation for her candor
Above anything else, the woman racer is known for her straightforward nature. We saw a hint of that during the 2015 Duel races where Denny Hamlin wrecked her car – and Danica Patrick gave her rival a piece of her mind. Similarly, Patrick has channeled her cutting honesty into another field as well – politics. The former IndyCar and NASCAR driver voted for the first time during the 2024 US election. She admitted her absence earlier: “It’s not something I’m proud of, but it is true.”
But now that she is on the political bandwagon, Danica Patrick is going all the way. She recently attended Turning Point USA’s annual America Fest, where she transitioned from a spectator to a speaker. And Patrick is proud to add politics to her strong motorsport legacy.
“In exactly one year I went from being a spectator at my first ever political event….. to a speaker at it. Living and speaking your truth – leads to your purpose – which gives you all the energy you need to make an impact – and your impact….. becomes your legacy.” Brett Griffin, a veteran spotter who has worked with Kaulig Racing and Michael Waltrip Racing, rooted for her.
Good for you for not being afraid to make your beliefs public. No one should be scared to do that regardless of what you support. https://t.co/r0eMmSFj7z

The controversial insider is known for his razor-sharp candor on ‘Door, Bumper, Clear.’ So Griffin was glad to find another individual not afraid to place her candid opinions in public. He wrote an encouraging note for Danica Patrick: “Good for you for not being afraid to make your beliefs public.” He added a 5-word bold message: “No one should be scared,” and continued, “to do that regardless of what you support.”

Patrick upholds love and honesty
As a motorsports icon, you get to travel through the world. Danica Patrick was born in Wisconsin to a gearhead family – her father was a driver and her mother a mechanic. But after Patrick started karting and winning regional and national titles soon after, she moved to England. Former driver Lyn St James guided her to many racing milestones. In 1999, Patrick finished 9th in the Formula Vauxhall Championship and clinched 2nd place at the 2000 Formula Ford Festival. Then, of course, we know about her superb victory at the Indy Japan 300. Despite her worldwide glory, Patrick finds her heart connected to her home country.
So after casting her first vote this year, Danica Patrick revealed her true reason for joining politics. “I love this country, and I have lived in other places. I believe when people of different opinions speak face to face, we realize we are more similar than different… I have been very torn over the years if I should give a (cr-p) about politics or just live the life I want as an example. I have been doing the latter. The reaction today is definitely interesting… since all I said was, I love this country.” She follows her racing logic in her new venture as well: “Don’t forget your truth leads to your calling, and your calling leads to the energy within you to make an impact, and that impact becomes your legacy.”
Despite multiple people questioning her political stance, Patrick has doubled down on her feelings. “I will not be judged to live in America, be a proud American, say ‘I love America’, and want to make America great again. I won’t be judged for it. Instead of quieting down, I am gonna get louder!” With Donald Trump set to take office in 2025, it will be interesting to see Patrick’s growth in the political sphere.
