It is worth noting that Spire Motorsports purchased a few assets from the outgoing Leavine Family Racing, which officially folded after 4 years in the sport.

So, their #7 car officially belongs to Spire Motorsports. Additionally, the team will move into LFR’s old shop. However, Spire has yet to announce LaJoie’s teammate in the other full-time entry, the No. 77 Chevrolet.

Corey LaJoie truly deserves the seat

While racing for Go Fas Racing, LaJoie proved his mettle and stormed to three top-10 results. In fact, he has a career-best finish of sixth place at the Daytona International Speedway in 2019. Aside from a seventh place at the Talladega Superspeedway, he finished in eighth place at the 2020 season opener at the Daytona 500.

Speaking about his recruitment, LaJoie said, “The news has broke, I will be driving the No. 7 Chevy Camaro for Spire Motorsports in 2021 and beyond.

“Super pumped and it’s going to be the best motors and best car I’ve ever had. We’re with a good group, we’re building something good here. Thanks to all the fans for sticking around and help me stack some pennies.”

So far in its NASCAR tenure, Spire Motorsports has boasted of one Cup Series victory. This solitary win belongs to Justin Haley, when he reached Victory lane at the 2019 Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona.

Now, Corey LaJoie will be keen to add to that tally for the Spire team. Meanwhile, the Go Fas Racing team is set to take on the part-time status with Ryan Ellis as their driver.
