No one can deny the importance of Dale Earnhardt Jr. in the world of NASCAR. In fact, he is possibly the most popular man in the sport. However, he has always been a very open critic of the sport. And his podcasts with all the important entities bring out more of the sport than we see. Although NASCAR might not always be happy with the things he says, the Hall of Famer believes that the sport needs his criticism.

In a recent interview with Insider, Dale Jr. talked about his criticism of the sport and why it’s necessary for NASCAR.

“Sometimes I’m gonna say things about NASCAR they might not like,” Earnhardt said. “I’m in there working. It’s a business, and I’m doing a job, and I’m not just out here talking behind their back … I still want to be a good ally to them.”

“You’ve got that good friend of yours who will always tell you the truth. Sometimes you’re not going to love what he has to say, or she has to say, but you really appreciate them because you know you’re going to get the truth.”

Dale Jr. believes that an honest opinion is necessary for the sport, “they need those people who are going to be honest and not be like, ‘Oh man, everything’s great. Sunny and 70 every day. This is amazing.’ They need somebody to be brutally honest with them.”

NASCAR Fan Refuses To Believe He Is Gaming With Dale Earnhardt Jr.

Interestingly, Dale Earnhardt Jr. is a gamer. And he was recently gaming when he came across another gamer using his race. So Dale Jr., who also uses his real name, tried interacting with the gamer. However, the person refused to believe him.

That’s hilarious, but totally understandable as well.
