The last few days have been nothing short of perfect for Dale Earnhardt Jr., well, almost. The former NASCAR driver got inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame for his contributions to the sport. He also launched a new venture with his wife, a vodka company called ‘High Rock.’

And it is because of his new company, and Dale Jr. being the good friend he is, he made sure he’ll personally let them know and possibly deliver some of that vodka.

Only problem was, in one instance, one of his more famous friends had changed his number. And Dale Jr. learned about it the hard way.

The JR Motorsport owner had texted his friend, rapper Post Malone, to ship him some High Rock. But as it turned out, Malone no longer used the number Earnhardt Jr texted him on and as a result, the former NASCAR driver had to “convince total stranger to accept a bottle.”

That he isn’t “scamming them.”

So yes, the last few days were almost perfect for the NASCAR Hall of Famer if not for a wrong number, something which he corrected in quite some way.

Dale Earnhardt Jr’s post, post this Post Malone episode

After posting about this incident on his Twitter, Earnhardt Jr. then shared the new (and old) contact names of his world-famous friend.

The old number of Post Malone is now, ‘Not Post Malone.’ And the new number of Post Malone is ‘Post Post Malone.’

But something tells us that Dale Earnhardt Jr. coming up with this naming solution to not get confused in the future whenever he wants to call Post Malone could end up being counterproductive.

But it’s funny now and it will be funnier then, so that’s that.
