Dale Jr. spoke about the first time they brought Nicole home from the hospital. When Isla first met her sister, what followed next was a sweet story of how the two bonded.

He said“(Nicole) was in this little rocking bassinet thing and she’s like, ‘Can I rock her?’ I was like, ‘Yeah, just very gently’. She got down on her knees and [put] her chin on the edge of the bassinet and was just looking at her, and it was a great moment.”

According to him, when Isla first laid eyes on her baby sister, the first thing she said was that the baby was ‘cute’.

He also said, “You’re not quite as scared that you’re going to keep it alive. That’s probably the worst part. You’re thinking, ‘Am I doing everything that I’m supposed to be doing?’ I’m sure it’s even worse for the mom.”

Dale Earnhardt Jr admitted that he and his wife were keen to get home as soon as possible and have the sisters meet. He confessed that Isla was not too thrilled about her parents’ attention being split.
