Dale Earnhardt Jr Reacts to Kyle Larson’s Comments on the Confusing Aspect of Bristol Dirt Race

NASCAR is in Bristol for the ninth round of the Cup Series. After a not-so-exciting race at the Martinsville Speedway, it’s time to play in the dirt. With the Food City Dirt Race to take place on the weekend, Dale Earnhardt Jr and Kyle Larson expressed their opinion on the track.

The race is set to take place at the Bristol Motor Speedway. Coming down from the Asphalt turf to dirt has a lot of changes in the dynamic of the cars. Talking about this, defending champion Kyle shared his opinion on the track in an interview.

Larson in the interview, conveyed, “I did feel like the track was a lot smoother last week, and entries of the corners seemed to be a little more sweeping. So a lot easier to run wide open on a late model. So I don’t know just good or bad or what it means for the racing.”

“I felt like the track needs some character, some bumps, and stuff. Some natural kind of bumps you know. I think they’ve learnt a lot, with track prep (preparation) and things felt like the track is really close to be really good. So excited to get the Cup cars out there. We hope we can have some moist on the track.”, the Hendrick Motorsports driver continued.

Team Penske’s Joey Logano won the race here last year while Larson finished 29th. Further, when asked about the cushion at the track, Larson stated, “There is not really a cushion there anyways. There wasn’t any cushion in the late model I think.”

The JR Motorsports owner wrote on Twitter, “That’s so interesting about banking and dirt tracks. Good stuff from Bob/Kyle.” Dale will not have the fun to race here as Xfinity directly goes to Talladega after Martinsville.
