Jeffrey Earnhardt, the nephew of Dale Earnhardt Jr had a tumultuous 2023 season. With no stable ground in the year before, he searched for a team to let him race on the track. His move to Alpha Prime Racing was a calculated one but not one with the desired effect.

Seeing the speed at which the Alpha Prime Racing team did the rounds on the oval, Jeffrey believed it to be the best possible option where his speed and the pairing could match for dominance. However, his foresight didn’t go as envisioned, following which Earnhardt Jr’s nephew encountered a saddening feat.

From 13 Xfinity Series races in 2022, Jeffrey secured 1 top-5, 2 top-10s, and 1 pole start. Due to this, he carried over high hopes as he came to terms with Alpha Prime Racing in 2023. However, the aspirations didn’t get realized, and Jeffrey is left with no seat for the 2024 season.

During his stint at Alpha Prime Racing, Jeffrey drove the #44 and #45 cars on a part-time basis, with his best outcome being a P11 finish at the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Daytona International Speedway. At that time, he was in the #45 Chevrolet Camaro. However, extremities like part malfunction, wrecks, unfavorable weather conditions, and whatnot, eclipsed Jeffrey’s pursuit of a dominant portrayal in the realm of NASCAR, and his 2023 season came to a sad end.

Similar to Jeffrey Earnhardt’s fate, his former team faces a similar fate as its run has been reduced to a great extent for the upcoming season. This was revealed by Alpha Prime Racing on X, as they wrote, “45 days until @DAYTONA! 🗓️ Our #45 will run a partial schedule in 2024, featuring @AlphaBacarella in at least 4 SuperSpeedway events beginning at Daytona. Additional details on events and driver lineup will be released soon.”

Until 2023, the #45 car used to run on a part-time schedule, but now the partial schedule has come into the scene again and doesn’t portray which races it’ll take part in. Nevertheless, the upcoming driver behind the wheel of the Chevrolet Camaro has been unveiled.

Back in 2022, co-owner Caesar Bacarella decided to compete in the Xfinity Series for his team. Bacarella debuted and finished P38 for Alpha Prime Racing in the 2022 Xfinity Series race at the Daytona International Speedway.

But it was during his 2023 race at Talladega Superspeedway, that Bacarella recorded his career-best of P6, which is quite promising compared to Jeffrey Earnhardt’s best finish being P11 at Daytona.

So, it became quite natural for the team to opt for Bacarella over Earnhardt to drive the #45 Chevrolet. However, the only confirmation from the team’s side is that the #45 car will start its 2024 season at the Daytona International Speedway, and would be running a minimum of four Superspeedway events.
