Dale Earnhardt Jr recently revealed that he believes there has been a significant change in Kyle Busch’s demeanor in the last couple of weeks.
Which according to him might be a sign that Busch’s contract negotiations might be headed in the right direction.

During the pre-race show on NBC Broadcast, Dale Earnhardt Jr mentioned, “I think that things are turning around in the contract discussions if you believe that, which I do. If you believe the body language and the interviews and the comments really tell the tale for Kyle Busch.”
“Things have gotten a little more positive for him and from him and what we’ve heard him say and the things we’ve heard him say, it seems like things are turning a corner for him and Joe Gibbs Racing.”

However, a few weeks ago, NASCAR spotter Brett Griffin had something completely different to say about Busch’s behavior. During the Door Bumper Clear podcast, Griffin said, “What Kyle Busch did yesterday in that video I saw on NASCAR is disrespectful.”
“Where is your gratitude, buddy? Where is your grace? Because you don’t ever display any. So maybe that’s why you’re not marketable enough to warrant a $25 million sponsor right now.”
That observation by Dale Earnhardt Jr regarding the change in demeanor might be plausible.
However, on track, it seems to be a completely different story, as Busch struggling to at least finish in the top 20. Busch’s frustration seems to be going out of control with each race.
Kyle Busch is okay to race for Joe Gibbs Racing with less money
Kyle Busch has stated that he is not considering racing outside of NASCAR. Instead, he’s open to the idea of taking less money than his normal pay in order to continue racing for Joe Gibbs Racing.

Considering that Busch has not had the best season this year, with constant finishes below the top 20, he might have to consider asking for less if he wishes to remain with the team.

Moreover, there’s the possibility that Joe Gibbs might prefer to put his grandson Ty Gibbs in place of Busch.
For starters, it would be a cheaper option and secondly, Ty Gibbs in his three races, replacing Kurt Busch, has proven that he is capable of performing in the big league.
The 19-year-old even managed to get his first Top 10 finish in the Cup Series back at Michigan International Speedway.

Kyle Busch would possibly be on the edge with all of these, but he still has a chance to prove himself to be a good option for perhaps other teams. All he has to do is play a significant role in the playoffs.
