Dale Earnhardt Jr. has plenty to be thankful for. The racing driver has had quite an illustrious NASCAR career, winning the Busch Series twice in 1998 and 1999. If that wasn’t all, he was recognized as the Cup Series’ most popular driver 15 times and inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2021. Taking these factors into account, it’s no surprise that Thanksgiving is a special occasion in the Earnhardt household, and they celebrate the festival by having a feast fit for a king.
Revealing the recipe for his Thanksgiving turkey, Dale Jr. said, “The bird is in the oven. Added herbs, onions, garlic inside. Slices of butter under the skin. A layer of @Hellmanns on the exterior, covered with some Kinder’s mild BBQ rub. Time for a 4 hour roast. Cracking the first beer before 10am. It’ll be a @budweiserusa”. The 50-year-old seems to have enjoyed the feast, as he followed up to the initial tweet by saying, “Turkey was good. Battled a food coma for a few hours but we are back! 🍻”
After Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s accurate description of his turkey recipe, former Xfinity Series driver Landon Casill used artificial intelligence to generate an image of the racing driver prepping for Thanksgiving. The former Kaulig Racing driver went on to write, “I asked AI to create an image of this glorious American Thanksgiving setting @DaleJr so graciously described for us”. The accuracy with which AI recreated the image impressed journalist Alan Cavanna, who went on to say, “The logos on the shoulders are so perfect. AI is too good.”

While being impressed by AI’s image, fans were also amused at the barbecue-flavored can of beer that featured in Casill’s image. Meanwhile, Dale Earnhardt Jr. extended his greetings to fans on social media, going on to say, “Hope it’s a great day for you and your family. #HappyThanksgiving.” The 50-year-old recently went behind the wheel of his iconic No. 8 Budweiser Chevy at Florence Motor Speedway but was forced to retire prematurely because of a fuel pump issue. However, he will hope to have better luck in grassroots racing going forward.
