Kelley is a fan of the playoff system!

She said, “…I love the playoff format and I love the opportunity that it gives you to keep progressing because I’ve seen in this sport — I’ve seen years where the points leader is so far out that they would win two or three races to go, right,”

“…but when it gets down to Phoenix, I just really hate that it all comes down to one race. So I kind of have this love-hate relationship with the way the system works.”

Dale Jr. had very contrasting thoughts, though.

“I think as far as the points, how we add them up, the elimination, all the factors, the size of of the field, let’s just stay this way for a little bit,” he said. “Build some equity. Build some brand identity in it. Some continuity so fans are now understanding what to expect and what drivers need to do, and we can carry this on for a while.”

Even though they have different ideas. They sure make a great team at JR Motorsports.
