Back in 2001, the racing world was shaken when Dale Earnhardt met his untimely end at the Daytona Speedway. It was then that his wife, Brenda Jackson, stepped up to the plate, providing a guiding hand for Dale Earnhardt Jr and his sister, Kelley Earnhardt.

Sadly, in 2019, Brenda herself passed away at 65 after a long and brave battle with cancer. Recently, on what would have been her 70th birthday, Kelley Earnhardt Miller took to Instagram to pay a heartfelt tribute to her. She shared both a story and a post filled with fond memories. In her touching message, Kelley mused about how Amy, Dale Jr’s wife, would have spent time with Jackson if she were still around.

Brenda, a NASCAR fabricator’s daughter and once the wife of the late Dale Earnhardt, had a life intertwined with racing. She and Earnhardt parted ways as he pursued his NASCAR dreams, leaving their kids, Dale Jr and Kelley, in her caring hands. After a devastating fire rendered them homeless, the kids eventually went to live with their father, while Brenda moved to Virginia.

In 1985, Brenda married firefighter Willie Jackson and later returned to North Carolina. She became an integral part of her children’s racing team, joining as an accounting specialist in 2004. Sadly, Brenda passed away in April 2019.

Remembering her mother on her birthday, Kelley shared a heartfelt post on Instagram. “Cheers to our Mimi who would have been 70 today! We miss you terribly and made sure to have an extra martini just for you. 😉 #happyheavenlybirthday she wrote. Along with this, she posted a story with a picture of them together, reminiscing about the birthday martinis they used to share. She wrote, “It would be your birthday Mom and it would be fun. Miss you so much and your birthday martini.! 🍸.” In another story, Kelley shared her thoughts, saying, “Amy and I would have paid to hang out with you today! Cheers momma. We are all ok. ♥️ You are proud I know!”

Brenda was more than just a supportive mother; she was a pillar for her children. She wholeheartedly backed Dale Jr.’s decision to step back from full-time racing due to concussions and was a dedicated supporter of the Dale Jr Foundation and other charitable causes. Yet, beyond her unwavering support, Brenda was also known for her sharp wit within the organization, leaving a legacy of strength and humor.

Controversies, gossip, and breakneck speeds? Count me in! While F1 has its charm, NASCAR helps me relive those "Roadrash" gaming days. My favorite among the drivers has to be Tyler Reddick. The 23XI Racing pilot is not only likable but also a complete beast when he is on track, more specifically, road courses.
