While she is known for her unapologetic attitude, riling up controversies one after the other, former Cup Series driver and arguably one of the sport’s most successful drivers, Danica Patrick is a great friend who seems to be always there for her allies. Unlike most NASCAR celebrities, Patrick loves to be in the spotlight, and her outspoken ways always keep her in the limelight.

Even after she departed from the sport after the 2017 season, the 41-year-old is a prominent face in the racing world, presenting the Sky Sports Formula 1 feature to the community alongside F1 champion Jenson Button. Even though she never tasted success like her male counterparts, her popularity simply eclipsed that of her fellow drivers as the lady sensation managed to bag major sponsors with her presence.

Now, coming to the recent happening, Patrick recently shared a thread on her social media, revealing the birthday celebration of her friend Thorpe. Patrick took to her Instagram, sharing a story with the caption, “There’s no way you’re 50. Simply impossible,” as the buddies posed for a picture.

But the highlight of the celebration was HMS sensation Kyle Larson’s wife, Katelyn Larson, who was also part of the celebration. The driver then added one more story as the ladies posed for a selfie with a quirky caption to it, indicating the spirituous mood: “And then sometimes you need one more before you go home.”

Following the Vegas GP, the open-wheel promotion’s first street course in Sin City, Patrick said, “They’ve got so much better throughout the year, but nothing to show for it.” Hinting at the team’s dismal season, she continued, sharing her take with Sky Sports, saying, “You can sense, Toto looked defeated, frustrated, tired maybe. Christian [Horner] was talking about the timing of this event. It’s been a long year, everybody is wearing down, so I’m sure it’s feeling extra heavy to them now, especially when they have bad days – especially when they get glimmers of hope.”

One take at a time

Picture this: a fast & well set-up car roaring its V8 glory, zipping through the country roads. I?m the sort of person who?ll be instantly drawn to something like that. While major racing promotions have stepped closer to the EV revolution, NASCAR still has their V8s singing its tune, which got me into the world of Stock Car Racing.
