While most NASCAR drivers choose to remain close to the sport in some capacity or another, Danica Patrick is an exception. Despite her occasional cameos as an analyst, the former Stewart Haas Racing driver is relatively away from the sport.

Now, this isn’t because she’s fallen out of love with racing, it’s rather her involvement in other areas and professions, most notable of which is her podcast, ‘Pretty Intense.’

On her show, Patrick hosts friends from in and out of the NASCAR world to experts from various fields and walks of life with conversations mostly ranging from general curiosities, to conspiracy theories, to deeply personal matters, to simple fun.

In the latest episode, the former NASCAR driver featured Chris Williamson. He himself is a host of the Modern Wisdom Podcast.

One of the more interesting bits of their conversation led to an opinion by Patrick that Williamson called “tyrannical“.

During the podcast episode, the guest asked the host, “Are you proposing the entire world limit having sex to just when women are ovulating?”

“No, when they’re not. Unless they want to have a baby, Patrick replied, to which came the counter-question, “What would be the reason for that other than just for protection?”

“Well, you wouldn’t have to be on birth control. So you would more safe from a pregnancy standpoint. So the narrative changes around sex to being something that is done at specific times. You would now as a woman, track your cycle more. Men would too.”

However, this opinion from the former NASCAR driver led to Williamson pointing out the negative side of it.

“The person that gets damaged the most by this philosophy, by your tyrannical new sex policy,” he said, to which Patrick quickly chimed in with, “TYRANNICAL, strong word.”

“The people that are going to be most damaged by this are the women because when sex drive is highest, you’re going to say, let’s try and push this down,” Williamson claimed.
