Sunday’s NASCAR race turned out to be a great spectacle for the fans as Joey Logano passed fellow Ford rival Brad Keselowski to win his first race of the 2023 season. However, despite a rare clean finish, the race did not end without some interesting drama. Notably, Ross Chastain got involved in another wrecking incident with Kevin Harvick days after his run-in with Denny Hamlin in Phoenix. This second wreck involving Ross Chastain in two weeks left NASCAR fans divided over the question if the Trackhouse Racing Team driver should be held accountable or not.

On lap 190, Chastain got quite close to Kevin Harvick’s rear bumper quickly around the corner while fighting for the lead, resulting in the Stewart-Haas Racing driver losing control of his car. As a result, 12 cars got caught up in the incident. While some of the fans blamed Chastain for the accident, Kevin Harvick gave an unexpected take on the incident.

Initially, the first look at the accident made it seem like Ross Chastain‘s car made contact with Harvick’s car. However, as shown in a replay posted by NASCAR’s official Twitter page, Ross immediately said on the radio, “I didn’t touch him.”

Moreover, the commentators in the booth seemed to agree with Chastain’s remark as the replay showed that Kevin Harvick spun out without any contact from Chastain.

Further, Kevin Harvick also shared his opinion on the matter after he got taken out of the race following the incident. As per nascar.nbcsports.com, the 2014 Cup Series champ said, “I don’t think he actually even hit me, but it started chattering the rear tires and then I was just along for the ride.”
