The atrocities of mankind are taking a toll on the world across the globe. While one may think what is its connection to the world of NASCAR, the recent heart-wrenching incident that happened at the Covenant School had JJ Yeley race in the Cup Series at Bristol Speedway, to encourage fans to donate for a noble cause. Though his last race at Richmond Raceway had turned into a nightmare because of the incident with Denny Hamlin, he did not let that affect his fight to earn his place at the Bristol race. After all, Yeley had a very kind thought behind it.

Last week’s race at the Richmond Raceway wasn’t great for Yeley at all. The Rick Ware Racing driver, who is generally calm, had lost his cool this time. He was hit and spun out by the Joe Gibbs Racing driver, Denny Hamlin. Post-race, Yeley called out the irony of Hamlin’s situation.

What was JJ Yeley’s heart-warming gesture?

The race at Bristol Speedway carried a different emotion for Yeley. Keeping all the issues from the past race aside, he dedicated his past weekend’s run to a very noble cause. He had posted on his social media about racing to make a difference and help the family of the victims of the devastating shootout at a school. He urged his fans to donate, while he was to start at the number three spot for the race. Since the cause was very noble, the fans could not help but praise the driver for his heart-warming action.

‘Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series’ posted Yeley’s Tweet on Reddit. They wrote, “J.J. Yeley repping a donation link benefiting The Covenant School victims tonight as he starts 3rd, RWR’s highest ever starting position.”

JJ Yeley receives massive support from fans

After knowing about Yeley’s gesture, NASCAR fans had a lot to say about the driver. They not only appreciated him but also rooted for him to earn a top-fifteen finish. The driver has a lot of experience in racing as he has been around for a long time. Fans were expecting a big win for the driver, as well as the RCR team. Check out what fans had to say about him and his gesture.

“I’ve ripped on Yeley in the past, but if he pulls this off and wins tonight it might be one of my favorite moments in this sport.”

“I know the odds aren’t great even at superspeedways, but I don’t think there’s anyone I want to see win more than Yeley. What a hell of a story that would be: start out racing for one of the sport’s top teams, and finally get win #1 ~20 years later driving a shitbox.”

“It would definitely be one of the biggest upsets in the history of the sport.”

“Tonight we are all JJ Yeley fans”

“The call needs to be legendary if he wins.”

“Tonight, we all root for one man. One man we all hope conquers all his competitors”

“All three or four of us in YeleyNation, it already feels like a win! Hope he can just have a good, clean run and get a Top 20 or even Top 15

“Holy shit God’s strongest Yeley fan”

“Honestly, if he can pull off a top 15. I think a lot of us should rally to donate. A win or top 5 is too much to ask for out of RWR equipment. But a top 15 is something he could realistically pull off with his talent.”
