Love him or hate him, you simply can’t ignore him. That’s Ross Chastain, arguably the most polarizing driver in NASCAR today. Despite his on-track antics and controversies having earned him quite the hate for his do-or-die attitude, the same cut-throat mentality has also made him a star for many fans.

Simply put, you just can’t deny the Trackhouse Racing star’s potential. While his on-track performance showcased the aggressive and ruthless nature of Chastain, his off-track gestures are quite profound and adored by the community.

Recently, after having his big moment being featured at the Pat McAfee show, Watermelon Man had something rather special for the popular YouTuber and sports analyst.

Ross Chastain’s Special Summer Delight for Pat McAfee

All in all, the Trackhouse Racing driver’s appearance at the Pat McAfee Show was nothing short of a blessing for him, considering how, more often than not, he finds himself to be the villain of NASCAR, attracting hate from NASCAR fans. The conversation that he had with the hosts arguably allowed NASCAR fans to warm up to him, again.

He was most recently in the news for punching Legacy Motor Club’s rookie driver, Noah Gragson. However, while talking to the show’s host, A. J. Hawk, he put all of that behind him, declaring a truce. He said, “So we [He and Gragson] are good and talked on Monday on the phone. And then we were together testing some micro-sprint cars on Monday night. We worked out together this week. It’s good, done and over with, and we have been able to move on and laugh about it now.”

In addition to this admission, the gift that Ross and his family gave McAfee would have worked as a charm with fans.

The now-popular sports analyst is known for his popular podcasts and talk shows. His cross-sports ventures and connections have catapulted the Pennsylvania native to fame. He is also a coveted analyst for ESPN’s college football coverage.

Coming back to the gift, Chastain dropped in a juicy watermelon as a savoring present for McAfee. To which, the color commentator had a sweet response. Pun intended.

Despite his aggression taking the best of him at times on track, the #1 driver has yet again captured the community’s attention. The driver shared Pat McAfee’s Instagram story, where the former football punter thanked the Chastains for the fruit while having a piece of the same.

McAfee wrote, “Shahtaht @rosschastain and his family for the watermelon ABSOLUTELY DELISH”.

Despite being infamous for his aggressive racing, Chastain hasn’t been the type of driver to just simply bud in with the rest of the roster. Ever since joining the top division of NASCAR, the Cup Series back in 2017, Chastain is certainly a force to be reckoned with inside the oval. Despite the lack of a win, he currently leads the driver standing for the 2023 season.

The recent Kyle Larson-Ross Chastain altercation had the fans on the edge of their seats, with another encounter spilling out at Darlington, where Chastain suffered major blows to his car as Larson retaliated furiously.
