The 2024 NASCAR season flagged off with a resounding bang for Chevrolet. William Byron snagged the Harley J. Earl trophy at Daytona International Speedway driving his No. 24 car: the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1. Similarly, a visual spectacle unfolded in the Atlanta race as Daniel Suarez swerved his No. 99 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 to Victory Lane. Chevrolet is on a roll here, aiming big with Kyle Larson for the next race as well.

The following weekend, Las Vegas Motor Speedway is going to host the Pennzoil 400 race. Chevrolet has won five of the last seven races on the 1.5-mile oval circuit. Another Chevy driver, Kyle Larson, is blazing hot in betting odds for the 2024 Pennzoil. If he satisfies the betting charts, then it will be a crowning glory for Chevrolet.

Chevy drivers snatching up trophies in the opening races of 2024 has come as a surprise. The other two major manufacturers caught the maximum attention during the off-season. Ford and Toyota released new bodies for their Cup Series cars. Toyota introduced a revamped design of the 2025 Camry, while the Ford Mustang Dark Horse was unveiled.

But good old Chevrolet chose to stick to the Camaro ZL1 used for the past several years. This has sent off waves of titillation among fans about Chevrolet’s secret ingredient. That may be nothing more than the pure genius and talent of Chevy drivers.

Jeff Gluck recently posted about the winning streak of Chevrolet. He tweeted: “Didn’t realize this: @TeamChevy has swept each of the first two tripleheader weekends in 2024, the first time a manufacturer has ever done that in NASCAR history.”

Kyle Larson is the defending champion of the last race held in Sin City. The 2021 Cup champion held off Christopher Bell to win the Cup auto race in October. Larson almost got pushed into a wall in the second stage. But he successfully maneuvered his Chevy, denting the rear corner of the car into the wall before escaping.

Kyle Larson is the early +420 favorite in the 2024 Pennzoil 400 odds. If he manages to pull off another stunning victory at the upcoming race, then Chevrolet will become the only manufacturer to win three races back-to-back. Last year’s Las Vegas win also had a Chevy car showered with confetti.

Kyle Larson’s Hendrick teammate Byron delivered an amazing finish at Las Vegas last year. He pulled away to win by 0.622 seconds over Larson and 0.766 seconds over teammate Alex Bowman. This marked the third time Hendrick Motorsports had finished 1-2-3 in a Cup Series event. The teamwork glimmered similarly in this year’s Daytona 500 race.

William Byron surprised literally everybody when he emerged as the Daytona winner. He had never finished better than 21st in his six previous starts in the 400-mile event. Even Daniel Suarez seized the Atlanta checkered flag like an underdog bandit. He had never scored a top-five finish at Daytona or Talladega Superspeedway, topped off by a lack of experience on drafting tracks.

With Chevrolet hot for achieving a consecutive triple victory this year, which Chevy driver do you think will seize the Pennzoil trophy?
