If Joe Gibbs Racing don’t find the right sponsor for Kyle Busch, and if Kyle Busch can’t find himself the right team, the options for him are endless in terms of what he will do. But one thing he won’t do, or rather, cannot do, is take some time off NASCAR.

Like defending Cup champion, Kyle Larson did after he was dropped by Chip Ganassi Racing.

In a recent episode of the Door Bumper Clear podcast, Freddie Kraft, the spotter of Bubba Wallace, stated he doesn’t know where else would Busch go as all the options seem to be getting narrower by the day.

Then, he went on to tackle some rumors that speculated Busch could also take the Kyle Larson route, take a year off, and go race on the dirt circuit.

“He’s ain’t gonna run, he’s not gonna take a year off to go run dirt cars somewhere. He’s not taking a year off,” the spotter claimed.

As soon as Kraft said it, Denny Hamlin, Busch’s teammate who was also the guest on the show, made a pretty hilarious but solid remark to further that point.

“Those planes are expensive, so are those houses,” Hamlin joked to emphasize the spotter’s point.

Kyle Busch gets off the front foot with his situation with Joe Gibbs Racing

A few months ago, when the reports emerged of Kyle Busch having a realistic chance of leaving JGR if they’re unable to find him the right sponsor, similar to the departing M&M’s, Busch maintained a stance that had him on the front foot in the negotiations.

But now, a few months later down the line, now that JGR has been unable, not willing, unable to find a sponsor that’s willing to pay as much money, Busch himself is now changing his tone, shifting his stance, which is to say, he is now open to take some concessions.

Ahead of the race at IMS, Busch addressed the speculations that he is asking for “the sky on salary,” while in reality, he is “willing to take concessions.”

As for how the whole situation will play out, for the better for the driver and his team, Kyle Busch doesn’t have a clue.

“I don’t know what to do, how to fix that,” he added.
