Don’t be surprised if you soon see Denny Hamlin take on the role of an advocate for improving track experiences and facilities for fans and drivers alike. This is because the NASCAR driver-owner made his thoughts pretty clear on what he thinks about the current system, and he isn’t exactly pleased with the current state of things.

Journalist Jenna Fryer recently posted a Twitter thread highlighting the conditions at Texas Motor Speedway irrespective of whether IndyCar races there or NASCAR. Her thread contained constructive criticism of the track facilities and its overall state, which made Denny Hamlin jump in the discourse.

“That part isn’t ok. Tracks make a killing and need to be held to higher standards instead of putting money in their pockets,” read one of Hamlin’s replies.

“If the teams showed up with fenders ripped off and junk pit equipment/pit boxes NASCAR would have a serious problem with that. Why can’t we treat the tracks the same (?)”

What did Denny Hamlin say after the race in Atlanta?

Denny Hamlin, who had yet another disappointing race in Atlanta with a 29th place finish, insisted yet another time that they had “a really fast” racecar. Hamlin, who made contact with Kyle Larson during the race, said he was simply “trying to help” the defending Cup champion.

As for the state of his season, despite the fast car and a good team behind him, Denny Hamlin kept it real. “We are running well, we are just finishing horrible,” he said,
