The sport of oval racing has truly evolved, from modern race tracks to newer safety norms, and sophisticated Next-Gen race cars. NASCAR has truly evolved over the years to become the racing giant it is today. All these new stipulations were implemented to avoid controversies and moderate the racing dynamics for teams and their drivers. Well, that hasn’t worked out well or recent events suggest so.

Recently, the governing body slapped massive penalties on one of its teams for violating its norms. But it seems that they have finally found a hole in the game.

Hendrick Motorsports have successfully appealed against NASCAR and have gotten their playoff and regular season points back. In the wake of this sudden turn of events, NASCAR veteran Denny Hamlin opened up.

Speaking to his longtime associate Jared Allen on his popular Action Detrimental podcast, the Joe Gibbs Racing driver reveals his thoughts about the matter.

Denny Hamlin sees the ‘unforeseen’ as he predicts massive updates from NASCAR

Talking about the current scenario, Jared had a significant question for Hamlin, “Now given the track record of the appeals panel over the las 12 months, 18 months is it worth it for teams to find these loopholes, uh and then you know break the rules in a sense knowing that have a good case to go to court that they could win like is the potential gain outweigh the potential penalty?”

While most fans had the exact thing on their mind, the veteran driver explains, “Yes, if NASCAR doesn’t beat you to the punch. I think they’re gonna change the rules sooner or later as they should, um to… I don’t know they update rules weekly to be honest with you.”

The #11 driver also gives us an insight into how things go about with the organization constantly changing the rules on a weekly basis under unforeseeable circumstances.

“I mean I dont know about these big ones but but they do change the rules in the rulebook weekly to you know when something comes up unforeseen that they didn’t see coming like they’ll put rules in to kinda make sure that they keep this thing organized , so I think yes is the short answer to your question,” added Hamlin.
