A trip down the memory lane, who can forget Carl Edwards wrecking Brad Keselowski at Atlanta as a payback for what the Penske driver did to him at Talladega the year before? Cut to the present, and a similar story as that could be brewing between Denny Hamlin and Ross Chastain.
This season, Chastain and Hamlin have emerged to be the bitter rivals nobody asked for or expected, but here we are.

After the Trackhouse Racing driver wrecked the Joe Gibbs Racing driver at Gateway, he wrecked him again recently at Atlanta in an almost identical fashion.
This made NASCAR spotter Brett Griffin suggest that Hamlin now needs to do something about it. And even though he’s biding his time for ‘the right moment’, it’s time.

“It’s time for Denny to shut up and do something about it. He has been talking about it. And I know what he may be waiting on, which is if I were him, it would be the playoffs,” Griffin said.
“It wouldn’t be right now. But now, the scoreboard is 2 to Ross Chastain and 0 to Denny Hamlin.”
Will Denny Hamlin do to Ross Chastain what Carl Edwards did to Brad Keselowski?
The answer to the question above, at least in Brett Griffin’s opinion, is no.
In fact, he doesn’t see the two instances in one lens in the first place. “I know what Carl Edwards did to Brad Keselowski and I thought, that wreck with Edwards and Keselowski back in the day was racing,” he said.

But Griffin did point to the situation Denny Hamlin finds himself in right now. And as mentioned before, it is indeed 2-0 to Ross Chastain.

Now the question is, as the spotter himself said, “It’s Denny’s turn, what is he gonna do?”
