The more, the Merrier. Merry Christmas,” said Jordan Fish and Denny Hamlin Instagram post. What most would have expected to be a delightful Christmas morning picture turned into so much more when the couple announced a new addition joining their family in just a few months. And Hamlin is the ultimate girl dad’, right?

He has consistently shown his love for his little girls through and through. As for the girls, waiting for the arrival of a sibling can be the most exciting and eager moment, dreaming of being a big sister, maybe helping out in changing diapers, and whatnot. However, not all celebrations go as planned. Amid the jumping, shouting, and screaming with joy, something extremely hilarious brewed during the chaotic celebration of the baby’s gender reveal.

What better timing than a gender reveal with Mother’s Day just around the corner? Hamlin’s Mother’s Day Instagram reel is a must-watch. Packed with a lot of excitement and all the chaos one can expect from the Hamlin family. The moment started with Jordan reaching for a tiny pair of Nike Air Jordans. She pulls it out of the box, and the shoes are blue! It’s a boy! Just as the celebration starts, poor little Molly, sitting on the table,  gets caught in the crossfire.

The celebration went slightly off track as Denny accidentally elbowed his youngest daughter, Molly, in the back of her head. Molly held her head back and started wailing. Justice for Molly! There really isn’t much rest for the middle child-to-be ever. However, Denny immediately patted her head gently as a sign of apology. The reel ended with him picking up his daughter in his arms and very lovingly celebrating the arrival of a boy in the family. “Happy Mother’s Day @xojordanfish! It’s a boy 🤣💙” he wrote in the caption, as Fish commented, “Hahahah oh dear!!”

What’s your perspective on:

Is Denny Hamlin's new baby boy the good luck charm he needs for a racing comeback?

The #11 Toyota Joe Gibbs racing driver is finally freed from being a minority at home; he finally has someone on his team. He joked, saying, “I had to have it, I had to have it, man. There was just too many women in the house. Between everyone, it just … being the only male in the house other than my dog, I might’ve had to tap out if we had one more girl. Still gonna be outnumbered, but this is just so much better for me.”

Hamlin added to it by saying, “I’m trying to push my kids away from the racing as much as I can. The girls, luckily, all they care about is singing, dancing, acting, things like that. But the boy? Who knows?” However, fans might want to keep their fingers crossed, after his former teammate Kyle Busch advised him against raising a prodigy. “I think a lot of it too is like, Brexton racing for, be glad you don’t have kids racing. Don’t. Not yet. Just don’t do it.”

Regardless, could the arrival of a new kid be the change of fortune Hamlin needs? The 3-time Daytona 500 race winner has lately been running out of luck. The star’s afternoon at the Texas Motor Speedway came to an abrupt end as his Camry lost power right before the end of Stage 1. Hamlin was fighting his way back after a botched pitstop when his car suddenly lost power. He tried getting the power back on, but in an attempt to do so, the engine exploded. The car did not show initial signs of a slight misfire before this inferno, but fans are glad that he made it out safely. In the post-race snippet, Hamlin very humorously commented over the radio, saying, “Well, that was fun, fellas.”

He didn’t fare any better at Kansas either. Finishing seventh and eighth in Stages 1 and 2, respectively, Hamlin struggled with clutch issues. In the end, a slow pit stop on Lap 127 caused by the right-front wheel saw the crew literally push Hamlin out of the box. Later, the #11 car stalled and, with terminal damage, was out of the race.

For now, with a playoff position secured, Hamlin doesn’t have to worry about missing a race for the birth of his child.

NASCAR’s new rule comes in clutch for Denny Hamlin

Well, Hamlin would have been in a pickle had NASCAR kept its old rules in place. Earlier in the year, NASCAR ruled that a driver missing a race to attend the birth of their child would still be allowed to compete in the playoffs. However, if someone were attempting a double like Kyle Larson did last year, they would be penalised. Thankfully, for Hamlin, when he realised he would have to miss the Coca-Cola 600 to attend the birth of his child, there was a sigh of relief.

I’ve got another one coming. I’m three-for-three. Another baby. We’re really, really excited. Due June 1st-ish. So, right around Charlotte weekend, hopefully we can get that thing popped out somewhere around then,” explained Hamlin.

He added, “There’s a new rule though, right? You can miss a race for a birth and not lose your playoff points, or have to get a waiver? I’m going to need the cliff notes on all the new rule stuff, and we’ll go over that next week. But yeah, that’s good news.”
