Over the years, NASCAR partnered with various game developers to create multiple gaming titles, allowing fans to lap the famed ovals from the comfort of their homes.

Although achieving immense success in the video gaming world, NASCAR’s yesteryears gaming ventures had vexed fans. But a recent tweet from Adam Stern indicates there might be a light at the end of the tunnel.

What did Adam Stern tweet?

Having partnered with EA Sports from 1997 until 2008, NASCAR put out numerous successful gaming titles. The motorsport organization then added the iRacing simulators and Roblox’s NASCAR Speed Hub to its gaming arsenal, pooling in more fame in the virtual world.

In a bid to further expand on its success, NASCAR then joined hands with Motorsport Games, releasing the NASCAR 21: Ignition title for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows.

Much to NASCAR’s dismay, the game was plagued with innumerable glitches leading to backlash from the gaming community. To further add to NASCAR’s gaming woes, Motorsport Games then incurred a loss of $35.9 million in 2022, leading to Dmitry Kozko stepping down from his post as Motorsport Games’ CEO.

With NASCAR left scrambling to reclaim its former gaming glory, Adam Stern has now delivered some assuring news to fans. Tagging an article from SBJ’s Hunter Cooke on Twitter, Stern wrote, “.@NASCAR has a “substantial announcement” coming soon related to console video games, per SBJ’s @ByHunterCooke.”

Apart from the confirmed announcement of a soon-to-launch mobile game, the article did not reveal any further details of what NASCAR had in store for console gaming. Yet, the cloaked announcement was enough to let the fans’ speculation run wild.

Twitterati speculate on what the announcement could entail

Responding to Adam Stern’s tweet, NASCAR fans and gamers shared their views on what the substantial announcement could be. Taking a sarcastic dig at NASCAR for its failed Motorsport Games venture, one fan wrote, “The announcement. “The company that has scammed everyone for years is a perfect home for NASCAR and we’re renewing our license!”

Another fan speculated a comeback of a former partner, commenting, “@EASPORTS is BACK”. The same thought was echoed by another fan who wrote, “If ea sports is back that would be huge for nascar.”
