Recently, two-time Daytona 500 winner Matt Kenseth was inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame in 2023. This announcement by NASCAR about his induction was received cheerfully by his long-time fans. 

As the news broke, fans sent congratulatory wishes to the legend and talked about their favorite moments from Matt Kenseth’s career. NASCAR on NBC posted a collage on Twitter in which he was seen celebrating his wins. The caption read, “2003 @NASCAR Cup champion 39 Cup wins Two-time Daytona 500 winner, Southern 500 winner, Coke 600 winner. What’s your favorite @MattKenseth moment of his @NASCARHall career?”

It didn’t take long before the fans started sharing their favorite moments from his career. For many of them, the most memorable one was the incident involving him and Joey Logano that happened back in 2015. The incident had created a big controversy at the time, and judging by their responses, fans seem to have loved it. Take a look.

During a Cup Series race at Martinsville Speedway in 2015, Brad Keselowski hit Matt Kenseth after breaking a tie rod midway through the race. That made Kenseth lose nine laps for repairs. As Kenseth got back on the tracks, he hit Joey Logano and spun him into the wall. It was a payback for eliminating him from the Chase for the Sprint Cup. This retaliation led to his disqualification from the race immediately.

It was very devastating for Logano, as he was in pole position and led most laps. There was a lot of controversy around this incident as Kenseth’s original explanation was that a tire went down and caused him to crash into Logano. However, following his suspension, he admitted that it was deliberate.
