The number 8 Chevrolet going around the track with the iconic Budweiser logo printed all over it is a fond memory a lot of people who admired Dale Earnhardt Jr remember to this day.
For a guy being sponsored by a $16 Billion beer company, one would think it’d be pretty normal to see cases full of beer at Junior’s residence. Turns out that was not the case.
However, when something like that did happen, Junior explained how a local distributor thought he was selling all the beer that was delivered to him.

During an episode of the Dale Jr Download podcast, one of his guests, Ty Norris recalled one instance and stated, “I got a call from Tim Schuler from Budweiser one day, and Steve Uihlein, and they were like, Hey, what’s going on over at Jr.’s house?”
“And I said What do you mean?”
“Well, the local distributor just said, The most beer I deliver to any retailer in the entire state of North Carolina is in Mooresville at Dale Jr.’s house.”

“They said ‘Is he selling it?’”
“And you’re like ‘No, they’re drinking it.’”
“He goes ‘How the hell is he drinking so much beer? We’re delivering case after case after case and there’s not a store in the area, in the region, that’s consuming as much beer.’”
Junior then quickly interjected and stated that he was not drinking it all by himself though, he apparently had a lot of people helping him with that.

Considering that when Junior was still in his racing boots he used to absolutely love beer, many thought that sensibly they would have come up with their own beer company. However, that did not seem to be the end result.
