On Tuesday night, the popular quiz show Jeopardy! aired in the United States. What made this particular episode special was a certain segment dedicated to NASCAR-related questions.
The “NASCAR in Vegas” category was based on the recent Cup Series’ playoff round at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
This isn’t the first time NASCAR has featured on Jeopardy!, as the Busch brothers were featured in a question. Unfortunately, the contestants butchered the answer, prompting Kurt Busch to have a good laugh.

Which NASCAR drivers showed up and how did contestants perform?
Of course, you could not have a NASCAR-themed quiz show without the experts showing up. To make things special, five current NASCAR stars turned up to provide video clues. They were William Byron, Kevin Harvick, Brad Keselowski, Jimmie Johnson, and Aric Almirola.
It is worth noting that the show saved the best for last, and the drivers certainly had a good time.
The questions were:

“I’m Brad Keselowski; during my run for the NASCAR season title in 2012, I decided I wanted to go fast, just like Will Ferrell, and win the Aaron’s 499 at this Alabama superspeedway.”

“I’m Jimmie Johnson; I know a little something about coming in first in the First State, having won 11 times at the International Speedway named for this state capital.”

“I’m Aric Almirola; I won the 2014 Coke Zero 400 at Daytona driving for the Number 43 motorsports team of this NASCAR legend on the 30th anniversary of his 200th win that came on the same track.”

From the contestants’ perspective, Alex Switzky got two out of three answers correct. Meanwhile, Kevin Walsh had one. Unfortunately, nobody buzzed in for the $1,000 question, which seemed like an easy one. Interestingly, returning champ Walsh was the only contestant to make it to the Final Jeopardy round.

The answers to the questions are Chevrolet, Daytona 500, Talladega, Dover, and Richard Petty respectively.
Now that all the fun and games are out of the way, Harvick and Keselowski can focus on the playoff battle. Meanwhile, Byron, Almirola, and Johnson have nothing to lose. For Johnson, in particular, he is solely focused on seeing out the 2020 season before he hangs up his NASCAR helmet.

Coming back to the 2020 season though, there are just four races left, including this weekend’s playoff at Kansas. Once the drivers wrap up the races at the Kansas Speedway, Texas Motor Speedway, and the Martinsville Speedway, only four will advance. The final four will then engage in an epic showdown at the season finale at the Phoenix Raceway.
