Arguably, Arnold Schwarzenegger is one of the most iconic action stars in Hollywood history. And that’s discounting the fact that he’s achieved so much in other walks of life as well. But coming back to movies, the Austrian has delivered some of the most iconic lines ever, something a few of NASCAR drivers also tried to do.

Ahead of the release of Terminator Genesys, drivers like Brad Keselowski, Kurt Busch, and Alex Bowman did their own Arnold impressions by trying to imitate some of his most iconic lines.

And as you’d expect, they failed, quite miserably.

First it was Alex Bowman, who began with, “Give me your clothes” line from Terminator, then followed it up by the evergreen, “Hasta La Vista baby!”

Then it was Brad Keselowski, who seemed to have misjudged the actor’s work, because the line of dialogue, he said, wasn’t really of Schwarzenegger – “Who is your daddy? And what does he do?”

This led the presenter, Matthew Dillner to say, “Dude! That’s not even from Terminator.”

As for Kurt Busch, well, the veteran went with the line from the 1987 classic movie Predator. “Get to the chopper,” Busch said.

Besides the fact that some of the biggest names in the sport tried to impersonate him, there’s more to Schwarzenegger’s connection to stock car racing than that.
