Bubba Wallace has had a season that’s far from great. With countless pit stop errors, unfortunate ends to races, and many more problems leading to poor finishes in every race.

Unfortunately, the poor luck on Sundays has left Wallace’s chances of entering the playoffs next to none. In fact, even a race win can’t save the team now.

Even Bubba knows that he’s running out of chances.

In a recent interview, Wallace admitted his chances of entering the playoffs are next to none. And the only chance he has is if he wins two races.

He said, “If we win, we’ll be at the bottom of the list. So two is definitely a necessity.”

Moreover, Wallace says that even one win will not help him at all.

He added, “Even if we get one win, I’ll still get bumped out of the playoffs. We have to win.”

However, the driver of the #23 car believes that there’s light at the end of the tunnel as he explains, “We know we can do it. We have a team capable of doing it. Everybody’s on board with that idea from day one. So, we’ll just try to do what we did last week, and make the most of it,”

But that still doesn’t change that Wallace didn’t have the best start of the season.

Wallace said, “The way this year’s gone for the sport, seeing multiple winners, the most this sport has seen. It just puts the emphasis back on the beginning of the season, and how we missed some opportunities that were right there in front of us could’ve put us right inside of the playoffs.”
