Jeff Gordon is usually instantly recognized by the fans of the sport thanks to his charming personality. However, recently a fan had a wild run-in with the Hendrick Motorsport legend after they unknowingly crossed paths with each other. Later on, the fan narrated the incident via her Facebook account, which was promptly picked up by Gordon and shared via his Twitter account. Soon, Dale Earnhardt Jr’s sister and a variety of other fans reacted to the heartwarming story.

The picture of the Facebook post read, “Long Post Alert BUT PROMISE ITS WORTH READING TO THE END!!! NASCAR!!!!! What a day!!! Finally, go to leave after doing inventory, the tram has stopped since it’s so latel!! Im parked about 4 miles from the entrance no exaggeration!!! I’m exhausted!! About 1/2 mile into my walk I see a golf cart I wave it down desperately ask if he could take me to my car or at least part of the way!”
“He says yes I start crying I’m so exhausted mentally, physically, etc etc I tell him thank you so much the parking lot is pitch black all I know is I’m super far and back as far south as you can go. We drive around about 10 minutes he asks if happened to look at the lot number I say no Ive been there since 6 am etc etc.”
“I finally find my car about 10 more minutes in, I’m in a pure dirt lot so I tell him to stay on the pavement I don’t want him to get dirty (golf cart has leather seats) I ask if I can zelle him, give him some cookies, or a Nascar Tshirt as a thank you he politely says no thank you. He turns to the side when talking and AND THEN I say wow from the side I mean I can’t see the front of you but from the side profile has anyone ever told you you look like Jeff Gordon????”
“He turns all the way towards me and says I AM JEFF GORDON!!!!!! Which then I start to cry again and thank him so very much and apologize for crying in the first place asking for a ride etc etc… I tell him my dad was a huge Rusty Wallace fan and I used to watch him race!!!”
“Yall he was wearing a hat it was dark and I recognized him from the side profile
lol!!!!! CAN NOT make this up! Jeff if you ever see this!!! Thank you so much again!!!”

This small act of kindness went a long way and ended up cheering up the day for that one person, who was exhausted before she found the Hendrick Motorsport icon driving a golf cart in her direction. Surely the fan would never forget this interaction.
