Last year, things took a dicey turn for Bubba Wallace. This was after he took out Kyle Larson during the race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. After colliding with each other, Wallace marched himself up to Larson and began shoving him around.
Ever since the incident, he has been quite reserved and waiting to better his credentials this season. However, during a recent interview, the 23XI Racing driver mentioned how he had moved on from that incident. He also spoke about the mistakes he made and what he learned from them.

Answering about what he learned from last year, Wallace said, “Just continuing to grow and learn and try to try to process things a little bit slower, slow down mentally, and enjoy the moment that you’re in. So I know there was a lot of moments where you kind of just reacted and should have put some thought into it first, but, you know, it’s part of it. You got to create your boundaries, you got to step over.”
Furthermore, Wallace mentioned that he had moved on from last year’s incident with Kyle Larson the very next day. He added, “It was unfortunate the way it all kind of went down. But, like I said earlier, I understood the positioning of everything and that’s part of it.
“You know, everybody makes mistakes and you it’s if you do it again, then you didn’t learn your lesson. So like I’ve learned and we can move on.”

During the same interview, Wallace stated that his performance at Martinsville and Phoenix helped him move on from the ugly incident.
Despite still needing to improve at Phoenix, the 23XI Racing driver emphasized the importance of approaching each race with the mindset that it’s not over until the checkered flag falls.
