Yes, rich people have it good. But no matter how rich they are, at the end of the day, it’s a surface-level thing. Because deep down, they’re all like us, like the person next to them, as former NASCAR driver Kenny Wallace theorized recently.
In an interview with The Athletic, Wallace spoke about the commonalities between icons like Elon Musk, Tom Brady, and Warren Buffett.
“There’s no way Elon Musk is perfect. There’s no way Warren Buffett is perfect. The wealthiest people in the world deal with moms and dads abandoning them,” he said.

“We’ve all got issues: Was my dad was mean to me? Was my mom mean to me? Am I not getting out of my career what I want? Nobody likes me. Divorces — we watch it play out with these marriages in NASCAR.”

He then candidly opened up on how he was made fun of for not being “really good” in NASCAR. And even the ones who do have championships, who are successful, they go through the same things, Wallace believes.
“We’re all vulnerable. There’s no exceptions to the rule. Tom Brady, you think that sumbitch has done it all. But no! He can’t quit, because it’s in his brain, you know? So it’s crazy,” Wallace continued.
“We’re all the same, and we just don’t know it.”
Can Elon Musk join NASCAR through Tesla?
Earlier this year, NASCAR’s Chief Operating Officer, Steve O’Donnell, opened up on the possibility of having an entire exhibition series with electric cars.
“We are exploring some opportunities around an exhibition series in that space,” O’Donnell had said.
O’Donnell added that there’s “a huge push” from all of NASCAR’s OEMs and the potential new OEMs in that direction, which is something he believes, is important for the sport to explore.
