On Saturday and Sunday, Ty Gibbs and Carlos Sainz Jr won their respective races in the NASCAR Xfinity Series and F1. However, Myatt Snider and George Russell won thousands of hearts. During the Xfinity Series race, Noah Gragson swiftly overtook Ty Gibbs as public enemy number one. This was because he and Sage Karam were tussling when he deliberately drove into Karam and triggered a multi-car wreck.

Among the victims was Brandon Brown who got the worst of the accident. Eventually, the shaken #68 driver clambered out and had to sit down to recover. Fellow innocent crash victim Myatt Snider quickly got out of his car and ran up to check on Brown.

24 hours later, the F1 British Grand Prix kicked off with a frightening wreck for poor old Guanyu Zhou. His Alfa Romeo was upside-down and flipped in the air, wedging itself between the tire barrier and the catch fence. Also involved in the crash were George Russell in the Mercedes and a couple of other drivers. Like Snider, Russell also clambered out of his car and rushed to check on Zhou.

NASCAR fans could not help comparing Myatt Snider and George Russell

Of course, many people began to compare both drivers’ actions and praised them to the high heavens. The general consensus was that they were happy that sportsmanship was still a thing in motor racing. Of course, this still meant that both drivers were out of their respective races. On the bright side, both Brown and Zhou confirmed that they were okay despite the pummelling they received.

Now, all four drivers will be aiming to move on to the next race of the 2022 season. Brandon Brown and Myatt Snider are heading to Atlanta, while Russell and a recovering Zhou will be in Austria. These two races will offer all four drivers to bounce back and deliver some more excellent performances. At the same time, they will be aiming to stay away from any potential accidents.
