Joey Logano has been at the top of his game ever since he won the championship last year. That win marked his second Cup Series championship title to his name. However, as per fellow driver Denny Hamlin, his name does not appear anywhere at the top of the greatest drivers of all time. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver continued to argue and disagree with Logano as an “underrated” driver.

However, following the release of a snippet of this podcast over social media, fans could not stop bashing Hamlin for his comments.

What did Denny Hamlin comment about Joey Logano?

During his podcast, Hamlin said, “Maybe he’s the most underrated… Who’s the most underrated among the Cup Garage? Like, why does no one ever say Joey Logano?…”

Listening to this, his co-host, Jared Allen, disagreed, by saying, “I don’t think Joey can be underrated though. He is a two time champion switch 30 wins.”

Hamlin, however, continued, “While why are they never saying, he is one of the greatest, you know, best drivers outright now? I don’t see him on those lists. I see those lists all the time and it’s, and he’s never at the top of it. But how can you argue he’s averaging three wins a year…”

He further elaborated that he was not arguing whether Logano was on the list or not. He argued that Logano should be at the top of it.

Soon after hearing Hamlin’s argument about Joey Logano being an underrated great driver in the sport, fans decided to speak their minds.

One fan stated, “I know Denny has a podcast but I’m tired of hearing him already.”

Another person chimed in and said, “Everyone with a Nascar brain knows Joey is tops. Underrated is a category for some home like Erik Jones not in top tier ride making best of it.”

Somebody mentioned, “Joey is at the top of the list when it comes to drivers. You don’t win 2 championships and 32 races without people saying he is. Remember he is sliced bread and that’s still true. First ballot hall of fame at 32 years old. If I had a race team Joey would be my guy.”

Another fan mentioned, “Because he’s not underrated.”

With all of these comments aside, Joey Logano is certainly an amazing driver. However, there is a divided fan base for him, arguably due to his personality on the track. Hence, for some, he can be considered one of the greats, whilst for others, not so much.
