What doesn’t sit well with the fans is that ignoring important matters, NASCAR has come out of the woodwork to promote the #9 driver’s return. And this has caused major backlashes!
In a recent Twitter post, popular journalist and NASCAR enthusiast, Jeff Gluck took his time to take a sarcastic jab at the organization for revealing their priorities.
While the champ makes a return, the fans don’t seem excited!
Following his snowboarding accident, Chase Elliott has been on the sidelines for six weekends. After suffering a fractured left tibia and undergoing surgery, the driver has been steadily recovering ever since.
Coming in as a replacement for the injured Elliott, Josh Berry had a rather great time inside the ovals, even coming in at 2nd spot in Richmond Raceway.
Here is what the journalist tweeted, which started off the debate.

According to Motorsports.com, the returning driver on Thursday said, “I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t going to be tough. It’s going to be tough,” expressing his delight to be on the track while his backup will be standing by.
Instead of addressing the disparity in its appeals, checking or monitoring its drivers, or listening to fans’ suggestions, the organization has gone out to promote the returning driver, and this has sparked a massive uprising, as seen in the post.
All of this comes after Hendrick Motorsports got flak for alleged ‘favoritism’ as they came out successful after their appeal, while others, who did receive the same penalty, did not receive the same treatment. In light of this, the community has raised some sharp questions about promoting Elliott.

Of course. For some reason the most boring, monotone man is the most popular driver in @NASCAR
