The Coca-Cola 600‘s 65th edition is scheduled for May 27th at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Before the drivers race past one another, something amazing will be awaiting the audience present in the stands. The NASCAR authorities, as usual, have planned some entertainment before the main event. As a part of the custom, “Amazing Grace” is performed by the Charlotte Fire Department Pipe Band. Apart from that, “Taps” is played before the National Anthem in memory of members of the Armed Forces who lost their lives in the line of duty.

Over the years, we have seen NASCAR’s preference for country music. And this time too, Tim Dugger, the country singer and songwriter, along with his friends, have actively participated in the Coca-Cola 600 festivities. Now, the organizers have decided to bring in another name for the concert.

Bob Pockrass’ post about the singer gets mocked by NASCAR fans

Pockrass reveals the name of the singer who is confirmed to perform at the upcoming Coca-Cola 600. It is Kameron Marlowe who is taken in by the organizers, much ahead of their schedule. The 26-year-old began singing at the age of 10. However, his career took a turn while he was working as a car parts salesman in Kannapolis. It was one fine day, that he got a call from The Voice office.

Known precisely for his country music style, Kameron Marlowe independently released his debut single, “Giving You Up” in June 2019. After that, he signed a few contracts left-right, but he still remained in a tough spot in terms of his popularity as a singer in Great America. After Bob Pockrass shared the Charlotte update, fans couldn’t help but share their disappointment in the organizing body for collaborating with an unpopular artist for one of the four crown jewel races of NASCAR.

This has become a laughing stock for fans since then.

Some fans have labeled this decision as “Unbelievably embarrassing”

While someone else denied even knowing the singer’s name.

Others took a dig at NASCAR, accusing them of bringing “cheap performers,” writing, “I listen to country have never heard of this person. I will have to look them up. Nascar likes cheap performers.” Additionally, there were hilarious GIF comments as well.
