Nearly 10 months ago, Chase Elliott endured a harrowing snowboarding mishap that not only fractured the tibia in his left leg but also dashed his prospects for the 2023 season. The incident left an enduring impact on the talented Hendrick Motorsports driver, prompting him to take precautions against a recurrence. Despite Elliott’s significant setback, it appears that the specter of such incidents hasn’t deterred NASCAR icon Michael Waltrip from hitting the slopes. Yet, as soon as news of Waltrip’s visit to the hills spread, fans quickly took notice and felt compelled to issue warnings to the racing veteran.

Amid the off-season blues and outpouring confidence within, the 2x Daytona 500 winner, Michael Waltrip, shared an update on X as he made his way to the “Expert” section of the hill. Going on snowboarding might not be that big of a concern, but what caught the community’s attention was Waltrip’s “My a**” remark.

An area strictly meant for professionals didn’t bother the NASCAR icon, as his revelation meant that it was nothing more than just a piece of cake for him. No matter how menial Waltrip thought the snowboarding excursion to be, in an effort to give a subtle reality check to Waltrip, the fans wasted no time bringing back the memories of Elliott’s painful outing.

NASCAR fans warn Waltrip against potential catastrophe

Because of the brutal crash, Elliott missed a whopping 6 races during the 2023 season and got sidelined from the sport. In a similar trip, when fans noticed Waltrip engage in snowboarding, fans took center stage. Even though Waltrip is not racing anymore, his job as a NASCAR analyst for FOX Sports could be in jeopardy.

A fan knew that just like Elliott, Waltrip used to be a NAPA driver as well, following which he commented about his outing and wrote, “Don’t be the second Napa driver to break something this year”

One fan took a hilarious jibe at Waltrip’s confidence and commented, “Bro bouta be chase Elliot” 

Elliott’s horrific incident probably scared this fan to the wits, which initiated the fan to warn the NASCAR icon as he wrote, “DON’T DO IT MIKEY DON’T GO SKIING IN THE OFFSEASON!”

Another fan made a hysterical request to Waltrip and commented, “We need a before and after picture” 

However, it was this fan who tried his best to mimic Elliott’s injured leg by sharing a GIF as he wrote, “Michael… after hitting the Expert hill.”

Elliott’s misery became the ground for fans to caution Waltrip from getting into trouble, but the NASCAR icon knows no bounds when it comes to enthralling activities and eventually pursued snow activities.
