Although the governing body did not divulge the details of the substance that was tested, they did reveal that Cory Roper, team owner of Roper Racing, violated the Substance Abuse Policy of the series. And as a result, the governing body suspended Roper indefinitely.

Recently, Fox Sports journalist Bob Pockrass shared the news of Roper’s suspension on his official Twitter account. And as soon as the news reached the fans, they began expressing their shock over the series of events.

Kaden Honeycutt on his “unguaranteed” entry to the NASCAR Truck Series opener

Last week’s Daytona race was a huge deal for Roper Racing’s Kadem Honeycutt. However, it was definitely not an easy one for him or his team. Before his big race, the 19-year-old driver told NASCAR reporter Jacob Seelman that he “(couldn’t) even focus on the race.”

Explaining how there was no guarantee that he will be in the standing lineup for the NextEra Energy Resources, 250, Honeycutt said,

“If you’d asked me a few weeks ago, I wasn’t sure where my career was going to be right now. Cory gave me an opportunity that I’m so appreciative of, and now it’s up to me to make the most of it.”

Furthermore, the driver admitted that racing at Daytona did mean an increased level of stress for him as it was his first race there. However, he hoped to stay focused and qualify.

However, things didn’t turn out the way he had planned. Unfortunately, Honeycutt wasn’t able to qualify for the event, and things have gone further downhill for Roper Racing since then.
