Is there a chance the JGR drivers were up to some mischief at COTA? From what we saw Christopher Bell doing on the track, it kind of looks that way. It appears he’s got a strategy to bump off anyone who stands between him and Victory Lane. First, it was William Byron at Bristol, and now Kyle Larson‘s found himself in Bell’s crosshairs at COTA.

Christopher Bell left everyone in the dust during Stage 1, finishing a whopping 18 seconds ahead of Daniel Suarez. This happened right after the initial leaders, William Byron and Ty Gibbs, ducked into the pits before it closed up, two laps shy of Stage 1’s end. But just before that, Bell made a move that ended up spinning HMS’s #5 driver, Kyle Larson, in turn 11 as they duked it out for fifth place.

It turns out this wasn’t Bell’s first rodeo causing trouble for an HMS driver. Back at Bristol, in the midst of a race already challenging due to tire issues, Bell seemed to have it out for another HMS driver. On lap 21, he bumped into Joey Logano, who then collided with Byron, sending him crashing into the wall and prematurely ending his race.

Now, some fans are speculating Bell might be doing this on purpose and are sending a heads-up to Chase Elliott, hinting he could be Bell’s next target.

An observant fan noted that Bell has already tangled with a couple of Hendrick Motorsports drivers, hinting that Chase Elliott and possibly Alex Bowman could be next: “Bell has gotten into two Hendrick drivers in the last two weeks. Watch out Elliott and Bowman y’all are next.”
