After the last race’s finishing in P9 at Chicago, he was hoping to continue his streak. But alas, he was left grappling with misfortune yet again—another DNF; this is his fifth in seven races! Everyone has been talking about Busch and his struggles; even his wife recently opened up about it.

Kyle Busch’s playoff hopes dim as Pocono crash adds to his winless streak blues

Kyle Busch is on the worst stretch of his career and by the looks of it, he might not make it to the playoffs this season. This is a tough pill for a driver who sweeps weekends. The 39-year-old already had a 41-race winless streak and how the Pocono result adds more to his misery. He entered the race with 98 points behind the cutline and now he has relegated to 102 points behind the elimination line, and this is alarming.

His wife Samantha Busch vented out her frustration about the constant DNFs and crashes. In her Instagram story, she posted a picture of the crash and said, What do you even say? This year has been heartbreaking.”

In Pocono, he got the fifth DNF in the last seven races. After the race was restarted on lap 121, Busch was bumped on the rear by Corey LaJoie, and it did look intentional. The contact left Kyle Busch’s car to slide, and this led to a multi-car wreck. The impact affected even Ryan Preece, Stenhouse Jr, Carson Hocevar, Harrison Burton, and Austin Cindric too.

And he was for sure more than disappointed. In the post-race interview with Bob Pockrass, Busch said, “It doesn’t matter what I think,” about the situation that occurred. But he did seem angry at Corey LaJoie and his actions.. He said, “Of course, you have mirrors and cameras and everything else. So you try to get in front of the run that’s coming and I was trying to get in front of that run and sometimes, some don’t lift.”

Corey LaJoie points fingers at Kyle Busch for crash

Corey LaJoie had a solid start to the race, nailing a strong restart and swiftly passing Zane Smith on the inside after the start/finish line. But after this, he and Kyle Busch battled it out. He was trying to tackle Busch, but he was resisting and blocking and which led to the contact. Then as the field raced five-wide, Busch held his line but was spun into the grass by LaJoie, who steered right according to the onboard footage.

And not just Kyle Busch but fans too blamed LaJoie for the incident and one fan said, “He straight up left hooked KB 🤣🤣 if there isn’t a fine Tuesday…Nascar will have ALOT of questions to be answered!”

But LaJoie and his team believe otherwise and they actually think Busch himself is to blame. They feel that his excessive blocking is what led to the outcome. After the race, LaJoie said, I’m sure he’s mad. I’m sure there were guys that got caught up that was made, but I didn’t feel like it was a bonehead move. I had a run, I got to the left rear, he blocked it twice, and the second time it spun his a** out.”

Although he did say that there were events that led up to the incident and he said it all started with a push from Allmendinger, which he said happened a lot in tight-racing. He explained he was trying to pass Busch and he blocked him once and he went straight, but he blocked him again and that led the bumpers to hit and send Busch spinning out.

Well, Kyle Busch now is in a bad spot, and with just five races remaining till the playoffs come in, his chances look dimmer. What do you think?
