Denny Hamlin is the new self-proclaimed villain of NASCAR. At least that is the image the JGR driver has painted for himself over the last two years. There will always be a fair few characters who always seem to get criticism from the fans. But in Hamlin’s case, he likes to ignite a fire when there isn’t one with his infamous line. His “I beat your favorite driver” has definitely played a part in turning more fans against him.

For all there is to Hamlin’s antics on the tracks, many believe the driver has an attitude problem. And he is made aware of this fact when he takes to the racetrack with the boos and jeers aimed at him. However, a recent revelation by his fiance, Jordan Fish, paints a whole different narrative about Hamlin. One that the NASCAR community does not know.

Fiancee Jordan Fish reveals Hamlin’s true personality traits

Love him or hate him, Denny Hamlin is certainly among the few drivers who are pushing the new NASCAR story, even if that paints him as the villain. However, very few of those who hate him are aware of his true persona and character. And Fish proved this, recording Hamlin while he was having an ice bath, playing Taylor Swift tunes.

Taking to Instagram, Fish captured Hamlin vibing to a Taylor Swift song. Sharing the incident via her Instagram account, she said, “Are you listening to Taylor Swift? ” To which the JGR driver responded, “Yes”. She then posted another story with a caption, “lol for those asking about him having an “attitude” or he could be “nice” he’s in a cold plunge, not a hot tube. If you’ve ever done one..it’s not pleasant.”

Back when Hamlin poked fun at Taylor Swift owing to her screen time during the NFL game, it was believed that he might be a fan of the pop star. Now that her fiancee has somewhat shed light on this, it can be confirmed that Denny Hamlin is a certified Swifty.

Denny Hamlin rates Bruno Mars a meager 35 out of 100 in terms of celebrity appeal

The “Actions Detrimental” podcast is usually known for Hamlin’s unfiltered takes on the sport and happenings in the NASCAR world. However, in a recent episode, his show host, Jared Allen, put the 43-year-old on stage with a trick question. He wanted to know Hamlin’s opinion about the pop sensation Bruno Mars. “On a celebrity scale, everyone knows Michael Jordan, let us say he’s a 100, what is Bruno Mars?

To this, Hamlin replied, “I’m going to say Bruno Mars is a 35.” Allen was baffled by his response, “Michael Jordan is 100 and Bruno Mars is 35; I was hoping more like 90. Are you kidding me? He played the Super Bowl, he has like 80 million Spotify listeners monthly”. Allen made his case, but this was not enough to change Hamlin’s opinion. “Okay, I see Jared’s point. Alright, fine, I’ll give him a 60.

After a couple of average races to start the season, the #11 JGR driver managed a top-10 finish in Las Vegas last season. He will look to continue this positive momentum going into Sunday’s race at Phoenix Raceway.
