The content coming from NASCAR off the track this season just can’t get any more entertaining! Entering 2024, perhaps no one expected this level of collaboration between the NASCAR world and other forms of entertainment, but it’s safe to say Netflix’s ‘Full Speed’ docuseries was just the beginning of exciting crossovers that the sport has lined up for 2024.

While Dwayne ‘The Rock Johnson’ will greet the NASCAR world later this month as the Grand Marshal for the Daytona 500, one of our Cup Series favorites seems to be returning the favor over this weekend. Ryan Blaney took a trip to WWE’s Friday Night SmackDown, and you best believe it led to some worlds colliding that we would have never anticipated!

Before the SmackDown kicked off and we shifted our focus to the ring, the X community was set ablaze by a post from WWE legend, Triple H, who could be seen catching up with Team Penske’s star driver. Something that stood out immediately in the photos was how differently the two champions dressed, with Ryan Blaney rocking the classic Southern flannel look and Triple H going the Business Mogul route.

Great chatting with @NASCAR Cup Series Champion @Blaney before #SmackDown tonight. It’s going to be a big night in Charlotte,” Triple H stated on X. And while the warm welcome from one of WWE’s biggest icons was a wholesome sight to witness, Ryan Blaney’s entrance to the SmackDown stage was nothing short of spectacular!

NASCAR Cup Series champion Ryan Blaney knows how to make an entrance!” the commentator said as Blaney stormed into the arena in a blacked-out Ford F150 Raptor. This time around, it wasn’t Cup Series gold but the WWE belt that Blaney flaunted, doing his best Seth Rollins impression. So all in all, it was quite a fun Friday SmackDown for Ryan Blaney, and it’s only fair after NASCAR’s hospitality toward our favorite WWE stars a few years ago.

From Rey Mysterio getting jumped at a race by fellow WWE stars to racing Dominik Mysterio to the Clash at the Coliseum, we’ve had our fair share of WWE stars in the world of NASCAR. Even in 2019, Mysterio had the chance to drive the pace car at Auto Club Speedway while conversing with current Trackhouse star Daniel Suarez.

So now that we’ve seen Ryan Blaney make a trip to Friday Night SmackDown in the hopes of experiencing the world of WWE, it’s safe to say the fans just can’t get enough and want more such collaborations in the future.

The NASCAR and WWE fandoms are overjoyed by the crossover

From Triple H’s post to Team Penske’s, the NASCAR and WWE community joined hands to share their excitement at the two legends crossing paths on X. While a user kicked things off with humor, “Give a belt to the winner of the #Daytona500” others were ecstatic to see Ryan Blaney and Triple H together; “🔥🔥 my worlds have collided!!”

While it’s not every day that we see different sporting worlds collide like F1 and Golf did during the Netflix Cup, the NASCAR-WWE crossover was a welcome surprise. Fans continued to state, “So Glad to see two of my favorite sports together.” While the Xfinity Series account also chimed in, “We acknowledge you.”

But Blaney and Triple H will not be the only WWE-NASCAR interaction we see in February. After all, Dwayne Johnson’s presence at Daytona could lead to some interesting conversations as well. This user couldn’t help but share their wishful thinking, “@TheRock vs @Blaney at @WrestleMania” while another was equally ambitious, “Ryan’s gonna be in the elimination chamber right?!!”
