With the recent rumors about SHR circulating, Harvick shed light on his former team’s future talking about how a sudden charter sale will spell trouble for team members.
Speaking on his recent podcast, The Happy Hour, Harvick had a clear-cut message about the team. Voicing his concerns about how SHR’s potential downsizing of the team would create unease amongst the team members, the veteran said, “But it sure seems like they’re selling a few, two, three, I don’t know how many.” He further continued, “But there’s going to be guys without jobs. And I think they know that they’re auditioning and they’re all definitely thinking about it.”
Harvick also mentioned that the drivers and the team members are in an “audition phase” and they are fully aware that their performance could determine their future with the team. The pressure is high as the drivers and the crew members try to secure their positions while navigating the uncertain times.

Current SHR driver, Chase Briscoe has been very vocal about the team’s uncertain future. After racing for the team since 2021, Briscoe has stated that he still feels “nervous” about his future with the team.

Speaking on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, Briscoe addressed the rumours about Stewart Haas Racing’s future. The #14 driver did not shy away from discussing the uncertainty about the team and all the speculations that have been flying about in the past couple of weeks.
Briscoe openly stated that he feels uncertain about his own future with the team. “Definitely, I think anytime that there’s this many rumors going around, right, like you start to get a little nervous. And that’s the big thing is just not knowing and not hearing anything,” he shared.
