Former NASCAR and IndyCar driver Danica Patrick is a true pioneer of female representation in motorsports. While now she’s carving an identity for herself as a broadcaster and as an entrepreneur, Patrick recently revealed the one career she wishes she had.

In a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, the Daytona 500 pole sitter confessed her desire to be a swimsuit model.

Patrick, who has featured on the ‘front cover’ of the magazine in the past, said of her experience, “I had so much fun. A great experience and I loved it.”

She added, “I loved it completely, like I wish I was a swimsuit model because it was really fun.”

“I like doing photoshoots and I enjoy the artistic side of it.”

What is Danica Patrick up to in her retirement?

Danica Patrick, who surprised everyone with her premature retirement at the age of 35, has been a part of several endeavors since.

Most notably, Patrick has her own podcast show, ‘Danica Patrick Pretty Intense’, in which she and the guests tackle topics and subjects ranging all the way from creative to spiritual matters.

Then there’s the entrepreneurial side of the former racecar driver.

She has her own line of wine and a luxury candle brand.

More recently though, Danica Patrick has been in the FOX Broadcasting booth for the Cup races in Las Vegas and Phoenix. Although her broadcasting gig has garnered a lot of criticism and bad feedback, it’s worth seeing how this one shapes up for the former IndyCar winner.

As for how she copes with the nostalgia of being a professional racecar driver, she said in a recent interview, “There are some new things I’m doing that I didn’t get to do while I was racing.”

“It’s not really fair to say, but it’s just less of some and more of other things.”
