When the NASCAR race at New Hampshire concluded, Brad Keselowski seized victory ahead of Denny Hamlin. However, many were left baffled when the scoring pylon showed Kyle Busch and Matt Kenseth almost dead last.

In light of their poor showing, Fox Sports’ Bob Pockrass spoke about the two drivers.

Kicking things off with Kenseth, the 48-year-old has delivered the occasional good performance this season. However, his stint with the Chip Ganassi Racing team has fallen well short of expectations.

Granted, he has not raced in over a year, but at some stage, he has to have regained some of his form. Overall, they had a bad day in the office with a number of tire issues, and he even questioned Kenseth’s motivation.

What about Kyle Busch?

The defending Cup Series champion has no such issues with a lack of motivation. Admittedly, many would wonder whether Busch can even win a race. Forget about trying to defend his title.

However, Bob Pockrass said, “I think he’s gonna win this year. I have no doubt that he will win this year. I think he will win before the year is out.”

That confidence is not unfounded because the defending champion has recorded several 2nd place finishes this season. In other words, the 35-year-old has far from struggled for pace, week in, and week out.

According to him, given the right push, Busch is capable of winning a race in the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series.

Speaking in a Zoom press conference, teammate Martin Truex Jr said, “He’s been pretty grumpy, to be honest with you. They’ve had some tough luck for sure, and again today obviously. So Kyle’s a great competitor and a smart guy.

“He’s really not been too down on things. I think he knows that he’s got a great team, and they can overcome this. So he’s been a little bit grumpy at times, but for the most part, he’s been pretty typical Kyle.”
