The NASCAR Cup Series race at Talladega Superspeedway delivered as promised. Talladega is known for its uncertainty since the equation changes in seconds. It happened last weekend as well, with as many as 13 cautions throughout the race.

The first 12 laps signaled what was to come, with three wrecks in no time. While NASCAR races usually witness a range of emotions over the team radios, Talladega saw a lot more heated comments from drivers and their teams.

Clint Bowyer tagged his in-form teammate Kevin Harvick and Harvick was not happy with Bowyer. “The 14 doesn’t have to worry about any help for the rest of the day,” Harvick said over the radio.

After observing everything going on around him, Kyle Busch predicted something that came true. “They keep pushing the way they are pushing, man. There’s going to be wrecks galore,” Busch said.

The ‘Big One’ came soon after Bowyer tagged Jimmie Johnson, who turned and, as a result, hit Kurt Busch. Kurt flew and landed on top of two other cars before landing on his tires, in what was a horrific sight. Johnson was furious with Bowyer, to say the least.

“What the f*** is he thinking? That is the stupidest thing I have seen in my career. Literally!” quipped Johnson. Luckily for Kurt, he escaped from the crash, unscathed.

The race eventually went into overtime, where another big wreck pulled in some of the big guys. Kyle Busch, Joey Logano, Harvick, and Martin Truex Jr. got caught. “Ugh, the front end is f*****g killed. Good ol’ Talladega,” Truex Jr. said.

The drama just did not end as the race went into a second overtime.
