After an action-packed Coca-Cola 600 at the coveted Charlotte Motor Speedway, Team Penske driver Ryan Blaney picked a much-needed victory for his team and their manufacturer, Ford. While the victory meant the second win for the American manufacturer this season, much like his feel-good finish, the community also cherished a wholesome moment when Blaney crossed the line first followed by his soon-to-be brother-in-law, William Byron.

Soon after the race, Erin Blaney wished both her big brother, Ryan Blaney, and her boyfriend William Byron. While it was a double delight for her as the two finished first and second, she also took to her social media as she congratulated both men for the thriller finish.

The sportsmanship and the degree of respect between the two and the level of competitiveness on track has the whole community in awe of the two. As NASCAR acknowledged this aspect, fans quickly noted the close connection between the two.

The perfect show of sportsmanship wins hearts as fans cherish the closer connection between Ryan Blaney and William Byron

Despite last week’s race at the iconic North Wilkesboro receiving a mixed response from the community, the following race at Charlotte Speedway was a runaway hit. Being the longest race in the Cup Series calendar, the race had all the elements.

It had action in plenty—16 crashes, late-race cautions, a perfect ending, and as it looks, a deeper meaning for Blaney’s sister, Erin Blaney. As the #12 Mustang held off a vicious chase from the Hendrick Motorsports Chevy, Blaney prevailed as he successfully rallied in the final stage of the race.

The victory not only was much needed for Team Penske but a bold statement from Ford. Despite the earlier criticism from Blaney’s teammate, Joey Logano, for the manufacturer’s inconsistency in not utilizing the car to its full potential, the race was a strong message for the nay-sayers as the proud #12 driver proved the Mustang’s reliability.

Also, this meant Ford’s second and well-deserved win of the season. The win also launched Blaney into the second spot in the points table, with 11 more races to go in the current season, the Ford is certainly back in action as Blaney’s clinical performance silenced all criticism.

Fans on the other hand joined the merry as NASCAR’s tweet meant celebration for the online community,

Good job brother-in-law,” wrote one fan as he mentioned the closer connection between the drivers.

While another fan speculated Erin Blaney’s reaction, “Erin probably had her heart in her throat that last thirty laps lol”

Well, they’re also Brother-in-laws too.”
