The incident was later discussed on the Dale Jr. Download podcast, where Dale Earnhardt Jr. and his co-host Mike Davis discussed their thoughts on the collision. Describing the post-race scenario, Dale Jr, said, JJ gets out of the car and goes, ‘The guy talking about respect is out here running over everybody, ain’t that ironic?'”

This comes after Hamlin agreed to Kyle Busch’s lack of “Respect in the garage” take, making the #11 driver look even worse.

Dale then went on to ask, “What’s your thoughts on that Mike? Do you think he did it on purpose?’

To this, Mike Davis said, ‘I’m gonna take Denny on his word and say that he didn’t, he said that I wouldn’t wreck anybody for 30th. No, that’s my response. I don’t think he did.”

“You disagree though, I can tell’

Then Dale Jr went on to add, ‘I think that he was frustrated and I don’t think that he wanted JJ Yeley to be in the fence when it was all said and done but I do think that he wanted to share or show his frustration to JJ about how he felt like JJ raced him. Literally just a, you know, 500 yards before that’

Dale Jr.’s opinion prompted a debate amongst fans with several commenting in favor of his views. A fan said, ‘The video clearly shows he dumped him on purpose. Denny can lie all he wants and say it was an accident but the video says otherwise,” believing that the JGR Driver deliberately crashed into JJ.

Another fan added to this and mentioned, ‘Of course, he intentionally wreck JJ Denny is pushing just to see how much he can get away with, I think since he isn’t winning he’s doing everything to keep his name in the headlines every week’

Totally agree with Jr….Denny was ill already then JJ came alone and raced him for 30th place when Denny knew if was just slowing him down on getting back to the front…so….he popped him”
