Hailie Deegan Casually Shares What Causes Her OCD to Kick In

NASCAR Truck Series driver Hailie Deegan recently posted an Instagram story, which shows her cutting grass for a dirt track build while also hinting at her OCD.

In the story originally shared by her boyfriend, Chase Cabre, we see Deegan removing grass from the dirt track. He also wrote, “Cool to see Sony Leonti has hired Hailie Deegan for Track prep.”

Sony Leonti is a traveling dirt sculptor and a professional Track Builder.

Hailie then re-shared the story, stating, “My OCD kicks in when weeds get too tall.”

Deegan has previously raced on dirt tracks multiple times and claims she really enjoys partaking in such races. She currently is a full-time driver in the NASCAR Truck Series, where she has achieved 2 Top 10s in her career with her best result being a P7 finish at the 2021 Toyota 200 at World Wide Technology Raceway.

Hailie Deegan gets a new crew chief

Before the next race at Richmond Raceway, Truck Series driver Hailie Deegan received a crew chief swap with fellow driver Tanner Gray.

She will now partner with Jerry Baxter who’s spent multiple races with Gray before, while Deegan’s original chief, Mike Hillman Jr. will be handling the number 15.

This swap will now be in place till the end of the current season. David Gilliland Racing confirmed the news via a press release.

Hopefully, this swap will bring in fresher alternative strategies for Deegan in her continued pursuit to achieve her first ever race win.

At the moment, she sits 21st on the points table with 243 points, and 17 starts. What do you reckon, can Deegan get her first win this season, or is too early for that to come by?
