Recently, Busch spoke about his first meeting with NBA legend, Jordan. He said, “I mean he is the GOAT. The situation, the way it all came together, it was this impressive meeting out in Sonoma earlier this summer. Right away, I got along with him. Just with the way he was chill but also presented this aura about him. ‘We will win. We are here to win. This is what this is about. And it was like, ‘Yes sir.’ He’s like, ‘Don’t call me sir.’ I said, ‘Alright, let’s win.’”

Busch confessed that his sponsor, Monster Energy, is hugely excited about this deal. It is also worth noting that his appointment is largely down to the efforts of Toyota, who wanted a veteran driver in the program. Of course, the 43-year-old is eager to work under the NBA legend next season.

It also helps that he has raced for a number of legendary owners in the NASCAR arena. This includes Stewart-Haas Racing, Team Penske, and most recently, the Chip Ganassi Racing.
